REA Hynes was founded by Donal Hynes in 1965 making it one of the oldest consultancy firms in the region. Donal's philosophy from the start was to provide a professional service dedicated to upholding the highest standards. In recognition of this, Donal was inducted as a fellow of the Irish Auctioneers And Valuers Institute (Now SCSI) in 1997. 

Over the years the firm has established itself as one of the leading practices in the midlands, acting on behalf of clients on projects transforming the landscape of the region.

REA Hynes was one of the founding members of Real Estate Alliance, a strategic marketing alliance comprising some of the country's best-established auctioneers and estate agents.

The firm has a dedicated property management service to better serve it's growing base of investor clients. Headed up by Helen Roper the division offers a choice of management services.
