McCarrick& Sons Real Estate Alliance is a second generation estate agency based in Co. Sligo with offices in Sligo City and Tubbercurry. Established in early 1960’s, Roger McCarrick is firm principal since 1985. The business was traditionally land based but since early 1990’s the firm focused more on selling and sourcing land for commercial and residential development as well as the core farmland business and residential development sales. Consultancy and advisory work on property values for capital projects has also been an important part of the practice- landfill projects, pipelines and road development being some of the projects he was involved with.-on different occasions for both developer and individual clients. Roger is on the valuer panels for the main banks including Bank of Ireland, PTSB and A.C.C. He has been regularly involved as a valuation expert witness in both Bord Pleanala and Rent Review hearings. He served as Chairman of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute, Connacht Branch from 2001-2005 and in 2004 became a Fellow of the Institute. He has served for a number of years on the National Board of the IAVI and the Board of Real Estate Alliance. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Irish Branch) and is a member of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. In recent years clients of McCarrick & Sons include Sisters of Charity, Achonry Diocese, Dept Agriculture, Teagasc, R.P.S Consulting Engineers, Greenstar and various Financial Institutions while his work has involved him liasing with dozens of builders and developers throughout Connacht, various local authorities and many engineers and advisors in property development projects.
