GRIMES REAL ESTATE ALLIANCE MAKE RECORD SALE

Grimes Real Estate Alliance in Co Meath had a surprising auction result earlier this month when 0.7 acres (0.28 Hectares), with a guide price of 750,000, sold at auction for 2,125,000.

The site on Hunters Lane, at the back of the Ashbourne Garda Station and next to the Ashbourne House Hotel, is zoned for commercial, office/ retail and residential use. Potential buyers were also attracted by the fact the development site is strategically located within 200 yards of the new Ashbourne Town Centre.

Paul Grimes of Grimes Real Estate Alliance commented; this was a surprisingly good result for a site of this nature. Demand was strong and we had five parities seriously interested in the land but it was still a pleasant surprise that this plot sold for so much over the guide price.

This sale will be of real interest to those interested in either buying or selling land in the area as the figures equate to 3,030,000 per acre of zoned land which, until now, was unheard of in this region.

The site was bought by a private individual who did not disclose their plans for the site. No doubt, local residents and those thinking about investing in the area will be watching this site over the coming months with keen interest; said Mr. Grimes.
