The Rebel County

Known as the "Rebel County", Cork is the largest county in Ireland and has given us some of Ireland's most famous sons including Michael Collins and Roy Keane.

The cosmopolitan Cork City is packed with bustling coffee shops, vibrant galleries, lively pubs and not least of all its own brewery. The Franciscan Well Brewery is located on the site of a medieval Franciscan monastery with many customers saying the beer has healing powers!

There are many towns outside of the city that would make an excellent home, each with their own selling point. Charming Kinsale, for example, is a great place for gourmet restaurants, sailing or enjoying a spot of dolphin or whale watching. Cobh is a pretty seaport town and was the final port of call for the Titanic in 1912. Skibbereen and Clonakilty are bustling market towns and Bantry is located at the mouth of Bantry Bay, a beautiful stretch of coastline that runs for 35km.
